3. Browser Extension
The PermitCycle browser extension collects additional data to provide permit status updates:
- Authentication tokens: The extension reads your authentication cookie to communicate with our servers. This token is used for authentication only and is not stored separately by the extension.
- Permit portal content: The extension scrapes permit application status, review comments, and inspection results from city government portal websites. This information is sent to and stored in your PermitCycle account.
- Extension settings: Your extension preferences (such as maximum parallel tabs) are stored locally in your browser and are not transmitted to our servers.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain our permit tracking services
- Process and manage your permit applications
- Send you notifications about permit status updates
- Enable collaboration with team members on projects
- Send transactional emails (password resets, invitations, verification)

- Resend: For sending transactional emails. Resend receives your email address and name to deliver emails.

Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.
